Get ready for a truly unique experience with this photography journey in Algeria. Imagine exploring the Djanet region together with local Tuareg guides, right in the heart of the Sahara Desert. This part of the desert is one of the most fascinating and untouched areas on the planet, where the wild beauty of golden dunes, surreal rock formations, and endless skies comes together with an ancient culture and its traditions. This photo tour gives you the chance to discover one of the purest and most visually striking natural environments on Earth, revealing a new side of this captivating landscape every day. You will travel with Tuareg guides in reliable 4x4 vehicles, experiencing the desert as the nomads have done for centuries, with expert navigation through shifting sands and rugged terrain. From camping under the stars to visiting archaeological treasures, this journey will immerse you in the very heart of the Sahara. Traditional meals cooked over open fires, accompanied by Tuareg music, will enrich the experience, while the night skies, free from light pollution, will offer an exceptional opportunity to photograph the Moon and the stunning starry sky of the Sahara, where darkness still reigns supreme.
Day-by-Day Itinerary

On arrival you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to the hotel. In the morning we drive towards El Berdj, stopping along the way to visit several rock engravings. We pause somewhere for lunch, then continue our journey, reaching El Berdj in the afternoon for a first walk in this magical place.
Cross the El Berdj gorge before entering a world of towering, soft dunes. Along the way you will discover rock paintings, engravings, and the famous “rock helicopter.” We continue among pink dunes and sculpted rock, stopping to admire beautiful engravings at Wan Iska. Your exploration then continues on foot to a site with magnificent Neolithic-era ox paintings. Finally we reach the red dunes of Erg Tin Merzouga, some rising up to 600 meters. As the light changes over the sand, the true magic of the Sahara begins.
We'll cross the wadi of Indjaren, surrounded by beautiful desert scenery, and stop to admire rock paintings and ancient engravings along the way. In the evening we set up camp in Tihaq, immersed in this timeless landscape.
On the way back to Djanet will see rock elephant Our lunch in TINI. We'll arrive Djanet and visit Tuareg market. Dinner in the hotel
In the morning we drive to Tigharghrt to visit the beautiful engraving of the “Crying Cow,” dating back to around 8000 BC. On the way to our camp in the Stone Forest, we will also visit Erg Admer, a stunning area of golden sand dunes.
Tikobawin. Here the horizon opens wide, the spaces feel endless, and the landscape shifts. Between sandstone peaks and vast stretches of sand, we will see a majestic rock arch, Neolithic tombs, and ancient rock paintings that make Tikobawin a truly remarkable place. After lunch we drive to Erg Admer for sunset, then continue to Djanet. Dinner will be served before the transfer to the airport.
During the night it will be time to leave Algeria and say goodbye to the Sahara. Transfer to the airport for your flight back home, taking with you unforgettable memories and images of the desert.

Physical Requirements
Good physical fitness is required, especially for tent stays in the desert. All necessary equipment will be provided by the staff, including comfortable sleeping bags and mats. Nights won't be cold, but it's advisable not to be frail to fully enjoy light walks and outdoor activities.
